A little paper adventure,
ready before you leave.

A seat, a pencil and a few printed pages can be enough. Prepare a small pack for a journey or a wait, without needing a phone to play the activities.

Before the journey

Prepare the paper before you need it.

  1. Choose a small set. The sample below has a maze and a drawing page. For more variety, the maker’s Quick preset has four activities. Uncheck any pages you will not use.
  2. Save the PDF before leaving. Open it once to check the file. Use a connection for the website visit, then save the file. The saved PDF can be opened without visiting this website again.
  3. Print the activity pages. Keep the answer pages in a separate envelope or behind the activities. Add a pencil and something firm to write on.

Choose by puzzle comfort and English reading. Easy has a smaller maze; the drawing prompt can be read aloud. Adults can use the same pages or choose a larger maze in the maker.

Two pages, two ways to use a wait.

A route to explore
Begin with the maze. Point out START and FINISH, then let the player choose an open passage. A wrong turn can be erased. The attached answer shows the route on that exact maze.
A picture to make
Change to drawing when a player wants an open-ended activity. This sample says: “Design something with wheels, a window, and a useful extra.” Read the clue together, then add a detail of your own. The answer page offers checking guidance rather than one required drawing.

The themes are everyday objects and invented pictures. The same general-purpose worksheets can travel with you and be used again at home.

Fit the page to the space.

  • On an airplane or train: start with a single sheet and a pencil. Put the next page underneath so the whole pack does not need to be spread out.
  • On a road trip: a passenger can use a firm writing surface. Choose a drawing page if following many small maze lines feels awkward.
  • At a restaurant or waiting area: offer one page first. It is fine to pause and keep the unfinished sheet for later.

Reading, paper size and puzzle difficulty affect how a page feels. Begin with fewer pages, then offer another if it suits the moment. Keep an unfinished activity to return to later.

Make a different pack for the next journey.

The sample is a fixed example. In the common pack maker, select Maze and Draw an adventure, choose Easy, then choose your paper. You can also include picture bingo, which uses a numbered picture trail printed on its own page, or add an English word hunt for a confident reader.

Use New pack to change the puzzles. Download keeps the currently previewed activities and their matching answers together. Read the maze guide for maze sizes and the activity pack guide for the complete set of eight activities.
