Look closely.
Follow a pattern.
Take your time.
For an at-home pause or a shared table, choose a few picture-led activities with a clear place to start and stop. There is no timer and no whole pack to finish.
A clear beginning, a comfortable stopping point.
A small paper break can start with one page. The sample combines two picture-led activities: comparing a pair of scenes and continuing a repeating picture block. Both work with the clues printed on the page; no scavenger hunt, extra cards or screen is needed while playing.
- Offer a choice. Ask whether the player wants to look for changes or complete patterns. Read the short instructions aloud if needed.
- Keep one activity visible. Set the second sheet aside. The player can finish the current page, pause, or switch when ready.
- Choose how to check. Keep the answer pages for a later comparison, or look together at one answer after trying that item.
Let the player choose a comfortable pace. One finished row or one carefully checked difference can be a useful stopping point; the rest of the page can be saved for later.
Looking closely, then finding a rhythm.
- Spot the difference
- The sample has 6 changed or missing objects. Compare scene A with scene B, one area at a time. Circle the changes in scene B; the backgrounds stay the same.
- Pattern detective
- Find the repeating block, then fill the next two spaces. Draw the pictures or write their names. Standard includes different block lengths, so each row needs its own check.
Try the first pattern row from this sample
The shown pictures are: A cloud, A light, A table, A cloud, A light, A table, A cloud, A light. Find the block that repeats before choosing the next two pictures.
Sample answer: A table and A cloud. This is the first row of the actual sample PDF below.
If a row is unfamiliar, point to each picture and say its name together. Easy offers shorter repeating blocks. Challenge also repeats the border shapes; use that level only when that extra comparison is welcome.
A small routine you can repeat.
Put a printed sheet and a pencil in the place where you expect to use them. At the end, store the unfinished sheet or choose one part to share. A player might explain which object changed, or point out the block in a pattern. There is no score to submit and no progress profile to maintain.
For a different kind of paper break, the maker also offers drawing, a maze and self-contained picture bingo. Choose a word hunt when English reading is part of the activity you want. Avoid adding all eight pages simply because they are available; the maker accepts a custom selection.
Keep the sample, or make a fresh pair.
The downloads below always contain the same checked examples. For another set, open the pack maker, select Spot the difference and Pattern detective, and choose Standard. Use New pack before downloading if you want new scenes and repeating blocks.
The preview and PDF show the same pack. Answers follow the activities in that PDF, so they remain with the correct set when it is saved. The activity pack guide explains page ranges and print settings. For a group of children using an optional classroom choice, see the early finisher guide.
See the pages before you print.
Standard spot the difference + Pattern detective. Both downloads contain these two activities followed by two matching answer pages. The examples are fixed; use the maker to generate another set.
These vector previews use the same drawing layout as the A4 PDF. Open a sample PDF for a full-size view. The US Letter download contains the same puzzles laid out on US Letter paper.
A fresh set when you want one.
The common maker lets you choose activities, difficulty and paper. PDF generation runs in your browser. The activity app asks for no child name, birthdate, age or photo, and has no upload or account flow. Hosting has its own technical data practices, described in the existing privacy notes.
